Biography
Michael Andreas is an EMMY nominated composer/producer and music director whose television credits include Wheel of Fortune, Married... With Children, The King of Queens and music for NBC's coverage of the 2008 Olympics. His credits also include the films Dream for an Insomniac, Call Me Claus and the multiple award-winning feature documentaries Legacy of the Hollywood Blacklist and The Girls in the Band.
His composition credits for the stage include the 2007 TONY Award-winning Jay Johnson, the Two & Only, Susan Tyrrell's My Rotten Life (A Bitter Operetta), Mass Appeal, Christmas Babies, Red Shift and Don't Hug Me. He has scored hundreds of hours of documentary television for the A&E, Discovery, National Geographic, PBS, and David Lynch's DLT networks. He has composed for online gaming platforms including the original Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy programs. Recently he composed the music for all the live productions at the Warner Brothers World amusement park in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Additionally, he was the Music Director for Los Angeles Ballet for 13 seasons.
As a performer, he has performed, toured, and recorded with some of the most prominent acts in popular music as well as with multiple orchestras, musical theatre productions, and jazz artists. His biggest current project is composing the score and lyrics for a musical that is scheduled to have its first New York read in early 2027.
