Biography

Reverend Monsignor Lawrence A. DiNardo is a distinguished priest of the Diocese of Pittsburgh, recognized for his extensive service in both pastoral and high-level diocesan positions. He currently serves as the Vicar for Special Projects, a role he took on after completing ten years as the Vicar General and General Secretary (Moderator of the Curia) of the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

Monsignor DiNardo's career in the diocese has included significant leadership roles focused on the application of canon and civil law. These appointments include Adjutant Judicial Vicar of the Diocesan Tribunal, Chancellor, Vicar for Canonical Services and Director of the Department for Canon and Civil Law Services.

A highly respected figure in his field, Monsignor DiNardo is a past President of the Canon Law Society of America. He has actively served on various committees for the society, including the Board of Governors and as Chairperson of the Publications Committee, among others.

In recognition of his substantial contributions and service to both the law and the Church, the Canon Law Society of America presented him with the Role of Law Award in 2009.

He is also an accomplished speaker and scholar, having presented numerous seminars on topics in Canon Law both in the United States and in other countries. Many of these presentations have been published in various canonical journals.
