Biography

With over 25 years of experience as a sound designer and mixer, Shawn has worked on a variety of projects for advertising & marketing, TV shows, documentaries, and films. After graduating from Full Sail University, he returned to Pittsburgh, partly due to the lack of snow in Florida. Since then he has worked for numerous companies, including D'Elia-Wittkofski, WRS, PMI, and currently Red Caiman Studios.

Early in his career, he had the opportunity to work on "Night of the Living Dead: 30th Anniversary Edition" and Rick Sebak documentaries. More recently, he has mixed several notable projects, including Making Montgomery Clift, Handyman from Hell, Basic Psych, The Great One, and Unsinkable.

In recent decades, Pittsburgh has emerged as a prime location for many films and TV shows. During this time, Shawn has recorded ADR and voiceovers for many of those projects, including The Dark Knight Rises, Banshee, The Last Witch Hunter, Outsiders, Mindhunter, American Rust, and Mayor of Kingstown.

While actors are staying in town, they may need their voice recorded for things like audiobooks, advertising, video games as well as ADR, Shawn has had the privilege to record many amazing actors, Denzel Washington, Cate Blanchett, Michael Caine, Jeff Goldblum, Jeff Daniels, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Laurence Fishburne, Doug Bradley (Pinhead) and many more.

Throughout his career Shawn has not only been an audio guy, but he has also worked as a producer, director, video editor, cameraman, grip and gaffer.
