Biography
Shelby is a pianist, teacher, and music director in the Pittsburgh area. She earned a bachelor's degree at West Virginia Wesleyan College and her master's in piano performance at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she studied under Dr. Henry Wong Doe.
Shelby teaches musical theatre techniques, adult voice, private voice and piano at the CLO Academy of Musical Theatre. She also brings teaching experience from Pittsburgh CAPA, where she taught music theory and aural skills for 5 years. She has music directed shows at Pittsburgh CAPA, CLO Academy, and Front Porch Theatricals, and performs in pits for Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, Front Porch Theatricals, and other local theaters.
Shelby enjoys helping students find their home at Duquesne University, where they can realize their fullest potential. She is thrilled to help the arts community continue to grow by opening opportunities for young people to pursue their artistic dreams.
