Duquesne has been named a 2024 ALL IN Most Engaged Campus for College Students by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge (ALL IN). This honor recognizes colleges and universities for outstanding efforts to increase nonpartisan student voter participation.

Duquesne is one of 471 colleges and universities recognized by ALL IN for completing core actions that foster democratically engaged students. By putting in the time and work to effect real change, the University has fostered meaningful connections and increased civic learning and voting rates.

“This award is a testament to the work of the Office of Civic Engagement and External Relations and our collaboration with areas across campus to create programming and resources that ensure our students are registered to vote, have a voting plan and understand how to participate in the electoral process,” said Dr. Jessica Mann, assistant vice president of community engagement. “We’ve worked to encourage students to recognize their agency as citizens and to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to engage in the community intentionally.”

Additionally, ALL IN recognized Duquesne for its nonpartisan democratic engagement efforts that fostered high levels of student voter engagement in the 2022 midterm elections. Duquesne received the Silver Seal, reflecting its commitment to ensuring that nonpartisan democratic engagement is a defining feature of campus life.
