Underscoring its longstanding history of excellence in business education, Duquesne University’s Palumbo-Donahue School of Business has again earned global accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).
While only 7% of business schools across the globe have achieved AACSB accreditation, Duquesne has continuously earned accreditation for more than six decades. Additionally, the University is among just 65 schools worldwide to have earned reaccreditation this cycle.
This recognition by the AACSB—the world’s largest business education network and most notable global accreditor—is a testament to the global quality and distinction of Duquesne’s business programs and its renowned faculty and staff.
“AACSB’s reaccreditation decision is a strong affirmation of the quality of what we do, from our emphasis on course-embedded corporate projects that transform students into difference-making business leaders to our outstanding faculty scholarship,” said Dr. Dean McFarlin, dean of the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business. “As the AACSB represents the gold standard for accreditation, current and prospective students alike should feel very confident about the education we offer in the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business.”
Achieving accreditation is a rigorous process that includes peer-reviewed evaluation, internal focus, and engagement with an AACSB-assigned mentor.
“Every AACSB-accredited school has demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curricula development, and student learning,” said Stephanie M. Bryant, global executive vice president and chief accreditation officer at AACSB. “The intense peer-review process exemplifies their commitment to quality business education.”
