Duquesne University recognized more than 300 members of the Class of 2025 at Winter Commencement on Dec. 19 in the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse, celebrating graduates poised to make a meaningful impact in their careers and communities.

Pittsburgh Mayor-Elect Corey O’Connor, a 2007 graduate of Duquesne’s School of Education, delivered the Commencement address.

"You will leave this campus instilled with the spirit of service, the belief that you can make a difference in the world...we all know that you will meet the moment with courage and passion. On behalf of the City of Pittsburgh, congratulations to all of our graduates," said O'Connor, during his remarks. "We look forward to seeing how many great things you accomplish!"

In addition, University President Ken Gormley presented posthumous honorary bachelor’s degrees to Robert Bahl and Anne Schleder Bahl, both former Duquesne students. The Bahls are the parents of Celeste Nasuti, who, along with her husband Jim Nasuti, made a transformational gift this semester to name the Nasuti College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Duquesne proudly honors the Class of 2025 as they embark on new journeys, ready to embrace opportunities and create a future filled with purpose.
