The YMCA Child Development Center Duquesne University has announced that there will be no fee increases for University-affiliated families for the upcoming year.
The University negotiated with the YMCA to ensure no increase will occur Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, and that Duquesne families who use the facility can continue to pay their current fees through Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024.
“Knowing the peace of mind that comes from having high quality childcare nearby, we are pleased to have worked with the YMCA to provide this important option for our faculty and staff with young families,” said Ryan Dawson, associate vice president of human resources and chief human resources officer.
Families not affiliated with Duquesne will see a roughly 16% increase in their fees at the Child Development Center.
Located adjacent to campus in Chatham Center, the YMCA Child Development Center Duquesne University provides enriching experiences that help to facilitate a child’s cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth.
The program’s experienced staff offer early childhood education and ensure a welcome, loving and educational environment. Options include infant care (six weeks to 17 months), toddler care (18 months to 35 months) and preschool (36 months to 5 years).
Employees interested in enrolling a child at the center can learn more at the Center’s website.
