More than 100 faculty, staff and students attended a special ceremony on April 27 to honor the Nasuti family and unveil the Nasuti College of Osteopathic Medicine.

During Homecoming and Family Weekend 2025, Duquesne announced a transformational gift from Jim and Celeste Nasuti for the College of Osteopathic Medicine. One of the two largest philanthropic gifts in the University’s history, President Ken Gormley announced Duquesne was naming the medical school after the Nasuti family. A significant portion of the gift will be for scholarships so students can attend the mission-focused medical school.

The inaugural class, which opened the college in July 2024, is currently preparing to begin clinical rotations in hospitals and health centers throughout the region this summer.
