Each year, our Center for Excellence in Diversity and Student Inclusion hosts its Spirit of Community Building Celebration featuring a dynamic leader who speaks to multicultural issues and inspires our students and community members.

Additionally, a select group of Duquesne University students are recognized for their leadership and academic accomplishments with a Spirit of Community Building Award and the Dr. Ron. L. Swain Award for Social Justice.

Faculty, staff, students, and members of the Greater Pittsburgh community are invited to celebrate Duquesne University students who are very involved with the Center for Excellence in Diversity and Student Inclusion and learn from leading thinkers on issues affecting our community.

Previous speakers have included Hill Harper, Swin Cash, Saleem Ghubril, Cynthia L. James, Charlie Batch, Dr. Jen Fry and Mayor Ed Gainey.
