The Office of Title IX and Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response works to prevent and address sexual misconduct within the Duquesne community. Our office provides information and support, coordinates supportive measures, receives and responds to reports, oversees the University's resolution processes, and leads prevention and education efforts across campus.
If you have experienced sexual misconduct, are concerned about someone else, or are unsure whether something you experienced may fall under University policy, you are welcome to contact our office. You do not need to know whether conduct constitutes a policy violation before reaching out. Our staff can explain available resources, supportive measures, reporting options, and resolution processes so that you can better understand your options.
Duquesne University's Sexual Misconduct Policy
Duquesne University's Sexual Misconduct Policy, TAP No. 31, addresses all forms of sexual misconduct, including both Title IX Sexual Misconduct and non-Title IX Sexual Misconduct. The policy applies to allegations of prohibited conduct occurring on or after August 3, 2026.
For conduct occurring before August 3, 2026, the University will apply the policy that was in effect at the time of the alleged conduct. Prior versions of TAP No. 31 and TAP No. 61 are available as appendices to the current policy.
