With a minor in sociology, you’ll receive a broad, foundational education in the same essential knowledge, substantive application and general perspectives provided in our sociology major. In addition, you will gain critical thinking skills as they relate to more fully understanding people, society and culture.
You may also minor in criminal justice or health & human services and enroll in a curriculum that leads you to a certificate in either discipline.
Your minor must include SOCI 101 Survey of Sociology. Designing your minor in consultation with a sociology mentor, you will be required
to take six credits at the 200 level or above and are encouraged to take three credits
