Course Examinations
Unit Examinations are given on the dates announced by the instructor at the beginning of each semester. Grades for these are obtained from the instructor.
Final Examinations are given at the end of each semester and summer session. No student is excused from taking the final examination.
Credit by Examination
As authorized by the College or a School, examinations for recognition of proficiency in a subject for course credit are available to currently enrolled students who, by previous experience or exposure, have acquired mastery of the knowledge of certain courses. An application fee of $30.00 is charged for each course credit, and applications must be completed and fees paid prior to taking an exam. Application forms are available in the Office of the University Registrar.
Since policies vary across the institution, students who feel they may qualify for Credit by Examination should consult the Dean's Office of the School offering the course to determine if an exam is available before seeking approval of their academic advisor and the host dean.
