Biography
Allison Saras currently serves in Advancement for Duquesne University. Previously, Saras served as the Chief Philanthropy Officer at Shady Side Academy, a nationally respected PK -12 private school in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During her time at Shady Side, she secured the largest donation in the school’s history, a $15 million dollar gift in support of the campus master plan, and a key role in yielding one of the most significant financial aid gifts, an anonymous $5.2 donation to provide assistance to well-deserving students and families.
She also has held several key fundraising positions at the University of Pittsburgh and Villanova University, including the Director of Constituent Relations at Pitt Law and the Assistant Director of Development at Villanova Widger Law.
Saras earned her PhD in Higher Education Management at the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at Villanova University, and her BA in Political Science and History at the Pennsylvania State University.
She also has been recognized as one of Pittsburgh's "40 Under 40" by Pittsburgh Magazine and Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project, as well as one of Pittsburgh's "50 Finest" by Whirl Magazine.
