Biography
Dr. Kimberly Davidson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Literacy Education at Duquesne University. She is passionate about preparing, mentoring and supporting excellent PK-12 educators. Dr. Davidson teaches children’s literature and literacy methods courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Prior to joining faculty in the Department of Instruction and Leadership in Education (DILE), Dr. Davidson held a tenured Associate Professor of Literacy position for seven years at the University of North Georgia in Gainesville, GA. Dr. Davidson has been providing literacy instruction in public and private school contexts in the U.S. and abroad since 2002. Dr. Davidson’s research includes national and international projects to develop and implement high impact, culturally responsive, integrative, and reflective literacy curriculum and instruction for a variety of diverse learners.
