In the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences via the non-thesis track at Duquesne, you receive a thorough graduate education that advances your knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences, the pharmacy industry and manufacturing, and drug research and development. The hands-on curriculum is grounded in experiential learning, mentorship and the common goal of advancing and accelerating innovation in the pharmaceutical sciences.
You enroll in 31 credits that blend foundational classes, electives, laboratory experiences and graduate seminars. One of the core classes explores the formulation and unit operations—or manufacturing processes—of pharmaceutical drugs. Another dives into advanced pharmacokinetics, which is how the body reacts to or processes administered substances, and the mathematical and physiological underpinnings of pharmacokinetics models. International students may apply for Optional Practical Training Extension.

When applying to the master’s in pharmaceutics degree program, we recommend gathering the following materials:
