Environmental Science and Management

The BS/MS dual degree in Environmental Science and Management equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle environmental challenges and develop sustainable solutions. This interdisciplinary program integrates environmental science, management principles and policy frameworks to address critical issues in the field.

As a student, you can apply directly to the Environmental Science and Management program and, upon acceptance, choose to pursue a B.S. in Biological Sciences, Chemistry or Environmental Science. Your undergraduate degree requirements remain the same; however, in your fourth year, you can take environmental science courses that count toward both your electives and ESM requirements, ensuring a strong foundation in both disciplines.

The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including sustainability studies, natural resource management, environmental policy and regulation, environmental impact assessment, conservation and restoration ecology, climate change adaptation and environmental data analysis. Through coursework, hands-on research projects, and field experiences, you will gain practical knowledge and skills in environmental science and management. The program also covers topics like environmental management strategies, consulting, ecosystem services and valuation and sustainable development practices, preparing you for a successful career in the field.
