There are over 40 computer labs on campus and 18 of them are equipped for teaching (equipped with computers at every seat and is suitable for instructor-led sessions in which each student requires access to a computer during the class).  Lab computers require logging on with an active Multipass Username & Password.

Lab Descriptions

Lab computer platforms include Macintosh and Windows. Capacity in computer labs ranges from 13 to 34 workstations, and locations are distributed throughout the Duquesne campus. In some locations, computer labs are equipped with specialized instructional technology equipment (projectors and scanners). Most labs are staffed with consultants.

Hours & Schedules

There are eight computer labs on campus available for students to use on a walk-in basis. While the primary purpose of these facilities is to be open for student use, some of them may be reserved for classes during or outside of core hours.  Most labs are open daily, from early in the morning until late at night, and two labs are open 24 hours/day (Towers and Martins).

All computer labs offer 2-sided black and white laser printing.  We also offer wireless printing from your personal computer, tablets, and phones (from on-campus) to a specific lab printer. All members of the university receive an annual print quota of $90 = 3,000 pages of printing

Reserve a Lab

Computer labs are available to reserve for Duquesne courses and summer conferences and programs.

An extensive software library is maintained in all labs. Instructors may request specific software for course use.
