This page features frequently asked questions (FAQs) concerning printing at Duquesne University.

Will my student account ever be charged for printing?

Never, everyone can print 3,000 pages per calendar year at no cost.

Which computer labs use Print Manager?

All public computer labs. This includes Mellon 428, Union 112, College Hall 335, Gumberg Library, Fisher 435, Rangos 401, Canevin 210, Rockwell 103 and Towers LLC.

How do I use Print Manager?

After sending your print job to the printer, Print Manager will prompt you for your MultiPass username and password. After you sign in, your print job will be completed and you can pick it up at the printer.

How many print pages do I receive and how often are they renewed?

Students and employees receive 3,000 print pages that are valid from July 1-June 30 each year. Pages renew on July 1 each year.

Where can I purchase more print pages?

Contact the Duquesne University Computer Store at 412.396.5645, computers@duq.edu or visit them on the second floor of the Union.

Can I purchase more print pages online?

The option to purchase print pages online is currently not available.

How many print pages can I buy at once?

You can buy print pages in increments 500 pages for $15, which is $.03 per page.

How soon will print pages I purchased be added to my printing account?

It can take up to one business day for print pages to be added to your printing account.

Can I use my student account to buy print pages?

Not at this time. You can use cash, credit or debit to purchase pages at the Duquesne University Computer Store.

Do you offer refunds on printing balances, including additional print pages I purchased? Does my balance carry over from previous years?

No refunds are available on unused printing balances, including pages you purchased. Your remaining print balance does not carry over to the following calendar year.

Are there any color printers on campus?

Not at this time. One of the future goals of print management is to allow us to provide enhanced services, such as color printing.

Who should I contact if I'm having issues with my MultiPass username and password?

Please try resetting your password at duq.edu/multipass. If you still experience problems with your MultiPass account, please contact the CTS Help Desk at 412.396.4357 (HELP), help@duq.edu or visit them on the second floor of the Union.

Will I be charged for any failed print jobs, such as a paper jam or low toner?

Please email help@duq.edu with the name of the print job, number of pages, lab location and time. We will then credit your balance.

Does double-sided printing count as one or two pages?

Double-sided printing counts as two pages.

How can I view my current print balance?

Go to http://duq.edu/webprint to view your current printing balance.

How many pages can I print at once?

You can print 50 pages per session.
