Your MultiPass username and password give you access to DORI, Blackboard, Email, and Wi-Fi. You are required to change your password every four months. Two weeks before your password is scheduled to expire, you will receive an email notifying you to change your password. You will also see a reminder to change your password anytime you log into DORI during these two weeks.
Setting Up Your MultiPass
You can set up your new MultiPass by visiting www.duq.edu/multipass, clicking Setup MultiPass and following the onscreen prompts.
Students and employees set up their MultiPass accounts using either their Duquesne ID number or MultiPass username. Duquesne ID numbers are provided to incoming students during the admissions process. Employees receive their MultiPass username in an email sent to their secondary email address by Human Resources.
Secondary Email is Mandatory
Listing a secondary email account in MultiPass is mandatory and will help keep your credentials safe and expedite communications between the CTS Help Desk and yourself if your account ever becomes compromised. A secondary email also allows you to request a password reset link if you ever forget the password for your MultiPass account and cannot access your @duq.edu email. Your secondary email address will be recorded in our system whenever you apply to the university, whether you are applying to be a student or an employee.
What Does MultiPass Grant Me Access To?
Your MultiPass account will grant you access to different resources based on your current role at Duquesne University. These roles and the specific access they grant are detailed below.

An accepted student is a student who has been offered a spot at Duquesne University but has not yet submitted their deposit to attend the University.
A current student is a student who is enrolled in classes at Duquesne University or who has graduated within the past year.
An employee is a person who is paid by Duquesne University.
Your MultiPass credentials will grant you access to the accepted student portal in DORI, where you can learn more about Duquesne and perform helpful functions such as pay your deposit.
If you are a current student at Duquesne University, your MultiPass username and password will give you access to DORI, Blackboard, email and Wi-Fi.
If you are an employee of Duquesne University, your MultiPass username and password will give you access to DORI, Blackboard, email and Wi-Fi.
When Is My MultiPass Account Be Created?
Your MultiPass, email and Blackboard accounts are automatically created once your data is entered into Banner, the University's administrative database application. As a student, this will occur when you are accepted by the University. As an accepted student, you will have access to certain features in DORI (defined below). After you submit your deposit to the university, you will gain the same access that a current student at the University would have.
As a faculty, administrator, or staff member, your account will activate when you are made active in Banner by Human Resources.
When Will My MultiPass Account Be Removed?
|Employee||Access will be removed within 24 hours after your last day of employment with Duquesne.|
|Accepted Student||Access will be removed shortly after declining an offer of admission from the University.|
|Alumni||MultiPass account will be deleted one year after graduation.|
Please Note: Removal of MultiPass will result in the loss of all accounts associated with MultiPass (i.e. email, Blackboard and DORI) as well as programs associated with your email account, such as Office 365 subscription. How Do I Find My MultiPass Username?
Visit duq.edu/multipass and click on the Setup MultiPass button. From there, you can follow the on-screen prompts to obtain your MultiPass username.
What Do I Do If I Forgot My Password?
Visit duq.edu/multipass, enter your MultiPass username and click Forgot Password. On the following screen, you can choose to reset your password via your secondary email address or secret questions.
Do I Use My MultiPass to Log Into University-Managed Computers?
All university-managed computers with a Windows OS, including CTS lab computers, will require users to log in with their MultiPass username and password.
Why Do I Need a Strong Password?
Your password is the key you use to access personal information that you've stored on your computer and in your online accounts. If a cybercriminal steals this information, they can use your name to open new credit card accounts, apply for a mortgage or pose as you in online transactions. In many cases, you will not notice these cyberattacks until it is too late.

Students, faculty, and staff can enroll in Duo Security to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) when accessing Duquesne University services and applications. For more information on MFA and enrolling in Duo, visit duq.edu/duo.

Students and parents can view bills and make tuition payments through CASHNet. To access CASHNet,
- Log into DORI.
- Click Self Service Banner.
- Select the CASHNet Student Access tab.
- Click Access CASHNet.
How to Designate an Authorized Payer
Follow the steps below to add parents, guardians, spouses or third-party sponsors as authorized payers in CASHNet:
- Log into CASHNet.
- Select Add New under Authorized Users.
- Complete the form and save changes.
- An email will be sent to address entered with a login ID, temporary password and a link to access this site.
