Developments in psychology, education and neuroscience are finding evidence of the amazing role that the emotions play in learning. Sarah Rose Cavanagh says, "The lay assumption seems to be learning is a dry, staid affair best conducted in quit tones and ruled by an unemotional consideration of the facts . . . In this book I will make the argument that if we want to truly motivate and educate our students, we are much better off targeting their emotions" (p. 1). In this book study, participants will explore practical strategies for emotionally engaging students to motivate and enhance their learning. Participants must agree to attend both book study sessions to receive a free copy of the book.
