Supporting a Diverse Culture
Integrating diversity efforts throughout the University is directed by the Division of Mission and Identity. That office also links the Duquesne community to its founders and sponsors, the Spiritans.
These departments direct many of Duquesne's diversity programs and promote an atmosphere of inclusion:
- Office of Diversity and Inclusion
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion provides individual counseling, advocacy, financial aid assistance, lectures, workshops and more to a diverse student population.
- International Admissions
The Office of International Admissions recruits and admits international undergraduate students, and helps them with pre-arrival information and orientation, and immigration issues. The Office also manages study abroad programs, the Italian Campus program and international study options.
- Tutoring and Mentoring
The Learning Skills Center administers a wide variety of programs designed to ease students’ transition to college life and maximize their academic potential. Services include tutoring, study skills development, service learning and more.
- Disability Services
Duquesne University has pledged a continued commitment to its students with disabilities and provides individualized health services, learning assistance, accessible facilities and technology wherever possible.
