We are here to help you
Stuttering may negatively affect you and limit what you want to do in life, but those do not need to be the case. Treatment in the Stuttering Clinic is holistic and individualized. Treatment often begins with education and building awareness of how you are speaking and stuttering. Depending on your specific needs or goals, therapy include learning speaking tools or strategies aimed at speaking easier and communicating more effectively, easily, and spontaneously. Treatment may also include learning different ways of engaging with thoughts and feelings around speaking. We frequently incorporate principles of Avoidance Reduction Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in our sessions in addition to more traditional fluency or stuttering modification treatment.
If you have had pervious therapy, we will build upon your past experiences, knowledge, and skills while looking for new pathways in areas you would like to explore. Your therapy will be tailored to you and we will work with you to determine what successful therapy may look like. Whether you are a parent who is concerned about stuttering in their child, a parent wanting more therapy for their child, or an adult seeking therapy for first time in years, we're here to help.
