During Stage I, cash prizes were awarded for Best Video Pitch, based solely on the quality of the pitch itself.
- 1st Place: $2,500 Biomotivate
- 2nd Place: $1,500 Treecup Tea
- 3rd Place: $1,000 Whitehorn Digital
DNVC Winners
The DNVC, an entrepreneurship challenge open to the Pittsburgh community and beyond, awarded cash prizes totaling $25,000 to the top five finalists, with a $10,000 cash prize awarded to the winner-JJ Xu, creator of TalkMeUp. Each of the five finalist teams included a Duquesne student or alumnus.
1st Place ($10,000): The creator of TalkMeUp-an artificial intelligence (AI) smart coach training software that assists users with improving communication skills- was the winner of the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business' inaugural Duquesne New Venture Challenge (DNVC).
