Duquesne University School of Nursing Partners with Distinguished Nursing Associations
In response to growing demand for health care leaders who can fill the need for advanced practice nurses and executive-level nursing positions, Duquesne University School of Nursing announced new educational partnerships with several nursing associations to offer mentoring and education resources to its members.
As a result of these partnerships, members of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, the National Association of Hispanic Nurses and the Transcultural Nursing Society are eligible for a 30% tuition discount when they enroll in one of Duquesne University's online graduate nursing programs. Members are eligible for the tuition discount after one full year of membership.
In 2020, Duquesne nearly doubled the number of online graduate nursing programs offered, which now includes six Master's of Science of Nursing specializations, six Post-Master's Certificate programs and two Doctor of Nursing Practice tracks.
"We want to deliver more options for professionals to expand their knowledge and skill sets in nursing practice and patient care," said Dr. Mary Ellen Glasgow, dean of Duquesne's School of Nursing. "As we face a growing and critical shortage of primary and acute care providers, these programs will educate nurses to fill these roles and meet the needs of health care head-on."
Duquesne Nursing programs are designed to prepare graduates to be health care leaders who will drive change, improve patient outcomes and provide holistic, culturally sensitive care.
