Regional Networks
Our Regional Alumni Networks (formerly known as "Chapters") provide graduates with the opportunity to connect with other alumni in their area and stay updated on what is taking place on Duquesne’s campus no matter where they live. These Networks also provide an easy way for alumni to come together in a friendly environment for networking, career advice, and fun!
Lead by volunteers, Regional Network Leaders work with University liaisons to host periodic social, networking and service events. They bring together Duquesne graduates, encourage alumni activities in the community and promote the interests and welfare of Duquesne University. Current and former parents, friends, and donors are often included in these happenings as well. Our current regional networks are:
- Atlanta, GA
- Buffalo, NY
- Cleveland, OH
- Charlotte, NC
- Chicago, IL
- Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX
- New York, NY
- Northeast Florida (NEFL)
- Philadelphia, PA
- Tampa, FL
- Washington, DC

We’re looking to expand the areas in which we have active Regional Networks in upcoming years, so if you don’t see your area represented and would like to assist in starting a Regional Network, please connect with us using this form.
Often there are areas of alumni in a city or region that are not large enough to support a Regional Network, however, these areas are locations the University will host annual or biannual events. Current and former parents, friends and donors are included in regional alumni programming activities. Also, alumni interested in hosting an event in their region might be interested in the Alumni Event in a Box program. For more information, or if you are interested in helping to plan an event in your area, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at alumnionline@duq.edu or call 412-396-6209.

We ask for as long as you are able to. We understand that things come up and you may have other commitments to attend to.
No. We do encourage at least one network volunteer to be in attendance for each event. A couple of times a year, a representative of the Alumni Engagement team may travel to a regional area.
Yes. The Office of Alumni Engagement will send a package of materials and giveaways to a regional network leader a couple of weeks in advance of the event date. Materials include nametags, pens, Sharpies, table tents, registration lists, giveaways, etc.
Popular events held are happy hours and socials, attending local sporting events, Duquesne sporting events, service projects, cookouts for parents and students.
Identity Networks
Identity networks focus on specific populations of alumni that have a common interest outside of the school in which they graduated. Currently, we have 2 identity networks: the Black Alumni Network and Young Alumni Network. Veterans also have some activities just for them. Read more about these groups using the links below. Black Alumni Network (DUBAN)
The DUBAN’s mission is to promote the presence, engagement, empowerment and success of Duquesne University’s Black Alumni Network by fostering key relationships with and engagement of students, alumni, faculty, staff and other community members through professional, educational, social, leadership and networking programs, as well as through philanthropic support and opportunities.

Young Alumni Network
The Duquesne University Young Alumni Network (DUYAN) aims to offer recent graduates the opportunity to connect with fellow Dukes professionally and socially, stay connected to their alma mater after graduation, and continue living out the mission of the University in their daily lives.

Veteran Alumni
Veteran alumni are important to Duquesne, our community and our country. Throughout the year, we aim to provide opportunities for our Veteran alumni to meet one another and our current Veteran students in order to provide support, guidance and community.
Service Networks
Alumni Volunteers are vital to both the Alumni Association and University. We welcome you to explore opportunities for involvement at a variety of commitment levels.
