Military and Veteran Alumni Group

The Office for Military and Veteran Students at Duquesne is interested in connecting with Duquesne Alumni who have served on Active Duty or in the Reserve and National Guard. Our effort is motivated for two reasons- to recognize and honor your service to our nation; and to improve your awareness of initiatives tied to the military and veteran alumni, including events that are happening in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

On this page you will see an online listing of those alumni, living and deceased, that we are aware have served. We are sure there are many names missing.  If you are interested in adding your name to the list, please complete the veteran alumni form. If you know of someone who has served and should be included on the list, feel free to include their name(s) in the comment box.

During the year there will be events for our military and veteran alumni, including our annual Veterans Breakfast and Memorial Service at Homecoming and Family Weekend, that will be communicated to all on the Veterans list, as well as promoted in monthly Alumni Newsletters- the Bulletin from the Bluff or the Bluff in the Burgh.

Our goal is to grow this special group and keep you connected to the university allowing us to honor and recognize your service to our nation. If you have suggestions or comments please feel free to contact Alumni Board of Governors member, and Veteran, Carmen DiGiacomo, B'64, GE'75.

Veteran Finds Supportive Community at Duquesne

“The veteran community at Duquesne felt like a close-knit family, where everyone knew each other and readily provided support for academic success and campus life adjustment. This camaraderie eased my university transition significantly.”
