Spirit of Diversity Event

Thursday, April 15, 2021

6 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, this year's event will be held in a virtual format. Faculty, staff, students, and members of the greater Pittsburgh community are invited to celebrate Duquesne students involved with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and learn from leading thinkers on issues affecting our community.

Proceeds from the Spirit of Diversity Dinner benefit Duquesne University's Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI). ODI meets the needs of historically underserved and underrepresented students of color by providing support services and opportunities for learning. In addition to promoting camaraderie, unity and understanding, ODI inspires, recognizes and provides programming and scholarships for diverse students who enrich the university and the community at large.

Featured Speaker: Hill Harper

Each year, Duquesne University has hosts a dynamic leader that speaks to multicultural issues at this event and inspires our students and community members. We are proud to feature Hill Harper, actor and author known for his roles on CSI: New York, Limitless, and The Good Doctor at this year's event.  Additionally, Harper founded the Manifest Your Destiny Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to empowering, encouraging, and inspiring underserved youth to succeed through education and mentorship.
