Women’s Energy Network Greater Pittsburgh Chapter, Inaugural Educational Conference in Partnership with Duquesne University School of Law

  • 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Duquesne University Power Center

There is nothing conventional about Appalachian operations.

Drilling has occurred in Western Pennsylvania for 160 years, but during the last decade the region has experienced unprecedented growth and development. This is due in part to the region's position atop the mineral rich Marcellus and Utica Shale formations. While the processes by which oil and gas are identified, extracted and transported are uniform, the costs associated with them and compliance with the ever changing regulations varies from company to company.

This daylong conference will feature presentations by women working within the industry discussing their experiences in environmental permitting and regulation, asset purchasing and leasing, asset development and title issues and midstream and pipelines. These women are all leaders in their field of expertise and will provide attendees with a glimpse into operations in the Appalachian region. Keynote speaker Stacey Olson, President of Chevron Appalachia, LLC, Chevron North America Exploration and Production will share her experiences and insights about opportunities and challenges in the industry.

A cocktail reception will follow
