Our Program is Unique
- Duquesne University is home to seven unique organs, including a new mechanical action pipe organ in the Duquesne University Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
- In addition to performance, you will study and apply skill sets including conducting, composing/arranging, and music ministry, and learn how to connect your skills to the spiritual life of the church musician.
- Through repertoire and improvisation courses, you will explore a wide variety of musical styles from various cultures and time periods, including elective courses, Gregorian Chant, hymnody, practicum, and choral or instrumental conducting.
- In addition to coursework, you will gain invaluable real-world experience through internships and public performances. Your research culminates in the development of a professional portfolio that will make you stand out as a leader in music ministry.
