Financial Responsibility Agreement

When a student formally registers for classes at Duquesne University, either by submitting proper registration forms to their advisor or by registering online, the student agrees to the financial obligation terms in the Financial Responsibility Agreement.

The figures shown below apply to the 2024-2025 academic year only, unless otherwise indicated.  Full-time rates apply to a semester course load of 12-18 credits per term, except Doctor of Pharmacy students in years 3 through 6. Per credit charges apply in semester course loads under 12 credits, which is considered part-time. Course levels greater than 18 credits are charged the full-time rate plus a per credit charge for each credit in excess of 18. The University reserves the right to change tuition and fee charges if circumstances require such action.

*All second degree nursing students are billed a $3,680 technology fee divided between the fall and spring terms. Students in the 16 month programs are billed an additional $160 technology fee for the additional semester of study.

**This is a one-time fee for all new undergraduate students (freshmen and transfer). It is used to cover the costs and opportunities (programming, communications, materials, etc.) associated with student transition to Duquesne University.

*** This is a one-time fee charged to all new international graduate students . It is used to cover the cost of international student orientation, immigration services, and the international student support services.

Testing Fees

Testing fees apply to the 2024-2025 academic year.

English Language Placement Testing (ESL): $50.00 (one-time fee).

Summer Tuition

Summer tuition is calculated on a per credit basis. See the Per Credit Rate column in the Tuition and Fees section for the rate that applies to the school in which you are enrolled.

Auditing a Course

The cost for auditing a course is the same as the per credit cost of a course.
