Educators of Impact Scholarship (new for 2025)
Duquesne University is passionate about preparing the next generation of educators who will make a meaningful impact in the field of education and their communities. Our Educators of Impact Scholarship offers scholarships ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 for eligible first-year students enrolling in our School of Education beginning in summer or fall 2025.
This scholarship supports students financially and encourages a strong commitment to education and community service, aligning with Duquesne University’s mission and values. Students are also eligible for other merit scholarships.
You must apply to Duquesne and complete Educators of Impact Scholarship application by January 15 for consideration.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Incoming first-year students who enroll in the School of Education beginning summer or fall 2025
- Minimum “B” average
- Holistic review considering academic achievements, curriculum strength, personal challenges, community contributions, and extracurricular passions:
- Commitment to Community and Education
- Promote educational excellence
- Maintain academic standards
Application Requirements:
- Apply to Duquesne University as an education major
- Complete the online scholarship application form – deadline is January 15
- Personal statement detailing commitment to education and community involvement
- Activities resume
- Minimum 1 letter of recommendation (can be the same as for the admission application)
- Academic records
- Applicants are encouraged to submit a FAFSA and/or CSS Profile prior to January 15 (optional, but preferred in order to ensure maximum financial aid from all sources).
