Minimum GPA of 4.0, a minimum ACT of 28 or a minimum SAT of 1310

GPA between 3.5 - 3.99, an ACT between 24-27 or SAT between 1170-1300

GPA between 3.0 - 3.49, an ACT between 21-23 or SAT between 1080-1160

All other applicants, including those applying for test-optional admission, will be considered on an individual basis.

Spirit of Community Scholarship

Duquesne University is pleased to announce an exciting new program for students passionate about engaging with their community and expanding their understanding of social justice. In addition to a commitment to community engagement, chosen participants will engage in meaningful and challenging conversations with peers around biased, systemic injustice, power, and privilege and its impact on our community and society at large. National Hispanic Recognition Scholarship

We are awarding a full-tuition scholarship to the highest-ranked National Hispanic Scholar in the entering freshman class. Utilizing a holistic admissions review, rankings will be determined by GPA, class rank, high school rigor and leadership potential. The deadline to apply for admission and be eligible for this award is January 15, 2021. No separate application is necessary!

Spirit of Excellence Scholarship

In the spirit of our founding, commitment to excellence, mission of service, and in alignment with University Goals, Duquesne will award five exceptional leaders with a full-tuition scholarship for four years starting with the 2021-22 academic year. The application is closed. Recipients will be announced soon!

Bayer School Scholars Program

The Bayer School Scholars Program is a cooperative program among Duquesne University, the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, the Citizen Science Lab, and local industries for incoming freshmen who are from an under-represented population in the sciences. The application is now closed.

Awards are renewable:

Duquesne academic scholarship/s may be renewed each academic year for a maximum of eight semesters of undergraduate study (with the exception of Pharmacy which is 12 semesters).

Housing awards:

On-Campus Room Awards are available to students who live on campus. Eligible recipients will receive the award as part of their acceptance package/scholarship offer.

School-specific awards:

Freshman and transfer students accepted to our School of Education are eligible to receive a 50% tuition scholarship. These scholarships are renewable for four years of undergraduate study as long as you remain enrolled full-time in the School of Education.

Bayer School Scholars recipients receive a full-tuition scholarship for four years of undergraduate study while pursuing a degree in one of the majors offered by the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences.

Freshmen and transfers accepted into the Mary Pappert School of Music beginning in the Fall 2021 semester will automatically be considered for the 50% Lead With Music tuition scholarship
