Biography
Matthew Wilson is the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator, working alongside Crystal McCormick Ware, in the Office of the Chief Diversity Officer. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Matthew spent time throughout his undergraduate studies focused on the growing impact of student groups and development of the next generation of student-athletes.
His roles at the University of Pittsburgh included DEI Chair on the Executive Board of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Athletic Liaison on the Chancellor’s Public Safety Advisory Council, and Founding/Executive member of Panthers United. In the Panthers United DEI focus group, he helped craft and establish the Panthers United Strategic Plan throughout the university's athletic department.
Matthews active involvement in volunteer and community engagement, coupled alongside his key roles within a number of student and administrative groups, have provided him with opportunities to connect, build support, and establish a strong foundation entering into the professional world.
