While each School may have its own Repeat Policy, the following statements apply across
all schools:
Any/all repeated courses and grades are recorded on the academic transcript.
- The most recent course grade and credits are included in the cumulative credit totals and grade point average (GPA). These courses are considered to be “included” in the GPA and are designated as such on the academic transcript.
- Prior takes of a repeated course are “excluded” from the cumulative credit totals and GPA, but the course/s and final grade/s remain on the academic transcript. Excluded courses are designated as such on the academic transcript.
- Courses which bear a final grade of “F” or “N” must be repeated if the course is required as part of a degree program. If the course is no longer offered, the department or program must identify a suitable equivalent or substitute course to serve as the repeated course.
