A Strong Tradition

Our students know that upon graduation, they will proudly claim being part of our community of over 8500 graduates who practice in every field of law. Many of our law alumni remain connected to our Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University and return to mentor and network with our students, providing them with insight and valuable connections.

Our alumni work as corporate counsel to Fortune 500 companies and small entrepreneurial ventures. They are directors of government agencies and public interest organizations, serve as district attorneys and public defenders and teach at law schools throughout the United States.

An impressive number of our graduates serve as judges on the local, state, and federal levels, including the highest courts, intermediate appellate courts, and trial courts in more than 20 states. Among all law schools in Pennsylvania, we produced the most judges seated on the Superior Court, Commonwealth Court, and Courts of Common Pleas. Duquesne Kline School of Law alumni serve as judges of the United States Court of Appeals and the Federal District Courts. Some students gain experience assisting these notable alumni through clerkships and externships.

The Spirit of Giving

What makes our community of students and alumni special and defines the Duquesne Spirit of Giving? Our Duquesne Kline School of Law alumni answer that question and give their reasons for giving back to our school and students in this video. We are grateful for the continued generosity they bestow on our students and our Duquesne Kline School of Law community!
