Cameron for a sampling of pieces highlighting the Duquesne Wind Ensemble. Guest Artist Performance: Barkada Quartet                                                                         
Join the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition champions for an unforgettable performance. This saxophone quartet takes its own progressive approach to chamber music, focusing the creative and social aspects of the art form.

Join the talented Liza Forrester Kelly for a vocal workshop. Kelly has been involved in countless notable recitals. She curates, directs and produces a number of nontraditional art installations.

Friday, Nov. 8                                                                                                                          Drum Circle                                                                                                                                  Hosted by Duquesne University's music therapy program, the community drum circle places emphasis on building community, listening and playing together, and creating a safe and enjoyable musical experience for all. No experience necessary.

The repertoire will include Carnival Overture, Quiet City (featuring Chad Winkler, trumpet and Max Blair, English horn) and Death and Transfiguration.

IEMMA: Hybrid Mixing with Solid State Logic and Sweetwater Music Join the Mary Pappert School of Music for the final part of their interactive seminar for audio engineers and producers. This three-hour session will explain the importance of using analog and digital methods of producing. This seminar is part of the IEMMA Experience.

Monday, Nov. 18                                                                                                                            UJS: Local Legends - Pittsburgh Pianists                                                                              
Join the Mary Pappert School of Music in celebrating local legends as a part of the Uptown Jazz Series. The series focuses on native Pittsburgh musicians. This event is partnered with an up and coming nonprofit organization Pittsburgh Creators' Project. This performance will be directed by Mike Tomaro and will include performances by former Mary Pappert School of Music professor and famed recording artist David Budway.

IEMMA: Let's Meet the Artists Seminar featuring David Budway, Jazz Recording Artist
Join the Mary Pappert School of Music for the jazz piano stylings of David Budway. A jazz pioneer on the New York music scene, Budway spent time at Duquesne as a professor. Learn more about Budway and his love for music during this special event. This event is part of the IEMMA Experience.
