PHIL ### Philosophy Course 3

1 Three credits of MUEN large ensemble courses meet the requirement for BRCC: Bridges Communication and Creative Expression.

2 Several Essential Questions Seminars also meet PHIL and/or THEO requirements.

3 Students take 6 credits (two semesters, each course is 3 credits) from among French, German, and Italian; a placement test may be required by the Modern Languages departments.

4 Physics 170—Acoustics is recommended. Available spring semesters only.

5 Students choose from among vocal chamber music, choral ensemble (Voices of Spirit or Pappert Chorale), jazz ensemble, opera workshop.

6 Offered in fall semesters of odd-numbered years. Students enroll concurrently in both courses. Each class is a half-semester long. Students will start the semester in Career Perspectives in Music I and switch to Career Perspectives in Music II halfway through the semester. Details of course dates are available in the university’s academic calendar.

7 Typically offered fall of odd years.

8 Occurs each spring—voice players should take it the spring semester of even-numbered years, before Vocal Pedagogy I (which typically occurs in fall semesters of even-numbered years).
