M.B.A./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering 

Joint degrees are offered between the Professional M.B.A./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering and the Flex MBA/MS in Biomedical Engineering. The Professional M.B.A./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering requires a total of 65-68 credits. The Flex M.B.A./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering curricular details are under development and anticipated to be available for the Fall 2025 term.

Students must apply and be accepted to both programs of study. Students may begin their study in either the School of Business or in the School of Science and Engineering. Students who successfully complete all requirements will receive two degrees and two diplomas. The degrees must be conferred simultaneously.

Graduation Requirements for the M.B.A./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering

Professional M.B.A.

Students will complete all required coursework for the Professional M.B.A. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering programs (see those program sections of the Catalog) with the following exceptions:

  • Three credits of required electives in the MS in Biomedical Engineering will be satisfied by SCMG 527 Supply Chain/Operations Management and MGMT 533 Global Business.
  • BLAW 529 Business Legal Environment and MGMT 523 Applied Business Ethics replace the ethics requirement for the MS in Biomedical Engineering.
  • With prior approval, MGMT 548 Capstone Project may be waived if a student completes a relevant Biomedical Engineering thesis or research.

Flex M.B.A.

The Flex M.B.A./M.S. in Biomedical Engineering curricular details are under development and anticipated to be available for the Fall 2025 term.
